About The Position

We are seeking a Director, Strategic Markets to lead enterprise business development across Corvian's highest priority B2B segments – including crop inputs, ag retail, CPG, biofuels, ag insurance, farm management, and select financial partners. This senior individual contributor role acts as the commercial owner for a portfolio of strategic markets, integrating our managed services, data, and technology capabilities into tailored go-to-markets plays and multi-year programs. The role combines enterprise B2B sales, segment strategy, and account-based growth to unlock new revenue and deepen strategic partnerships across the agricultural value chain. What You'll Do: As Director, Strategic Markets, you will serve as a senior enterprise BD leader responsible for both segment strategy and hands-on deal execution:

Requirements

  • Enterprise B2B background: 7-10 years of progressive experience in enterprise B2B sales, business development or strategy within technology, managed services, or strategy consulting, ideally with exposure to agriculture, food, fuel, insurance.
  • Strategic market ownership: Proven ability to own and grow a portfolio or markets or verticals, including disciplined new logo acquisition and expansion of existing accounts through multi-year, program-based deals
  • Complex solution/program sales: Experience selling or positioning managed services, data platforms, or enterprise technology solutions into complex organizations with multi-stakeholder buying groups and long consideration cycles
  • Executive presence and communication: Excellent executive presence; comfortable leading C-suite discussions, workshops, and negotiations, and translating complex technical capabilities into clear business narratives and ROI cases
  • Cross-functional leadership without direct line authority: Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams (Product, Delivery, Data, Marketing, Finance) without formal reporting lines, aligning stakeholders around enterprise opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic markets and account strategy: Define segment strategies, target account lists, and multi-year growth plans that align Corvian's managed services, data, and technology offerings to clear revenue and adoption targets
  • Build and convert an enterprise pipeline: Build, prioritize, and manage a robust pipeline of high-value enterprise accounts – leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles to secure multi-year managed services, digital transformation, and data partnerships
  • Shape integrated solutions and advise executives: Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to configure segment-specific offerings, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior leaders on digital and data roadmaps
  • Lead commercial structuring and negotiations: Own commercial strategy, including pricing, service levels, and performance commitments, and support renewals and expansions by demonstrating financial and risk outcomes
  • Leverage ecosystem and market presence: Develop channel, technology, and ecosystem partnerships that extend our reach, and represent Corvian at key industry events and forums in your markets
  • Monitor trends and performance: Stay ahead of regulatory, competitive and technology developments, and track pipeline, revenue, and margin performance with clear visibility into leading indicators and win/loss insights
