About The Position

As the Director, State Policy, you will lead the strategic development and execution of Crusoe’s legislative agenda at the state-level across Crusoe’s multi-state footprint. You are a seasoned advocate who understands that the most effective policy work happens at the intersection of business goals and the public interest. • Travel: Ability to travel frequently to state capitals (up to 50% during legislative sessions).

Responsibilities

  • Internal Advisory: Act as a "Policy-as-a-Service" state lead for internal teams (Legal, Engineering, and Finance). Translate complex state laws into actionable guidance cross-functionally
  • Coalition Leadership: Partner with the local + economic development + community teams to drive industry trade associations and third-party engagement. Build "unlikely coalitions" to drive consensus on complex topics like energy grid modernization and AI ethics.
