About The Position

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Platform Software Architect to lead the design and integration of Automotive Linux platforms for our next-generation Automotive SoCs . This role will be pivotal in shaping next-generation AIDV/SDV architectures, collaborating closely with OSV/ISVs, OEMs, and internal SoC platform and Software product management teams. Looking for a lead who has been active in the industry in these areas below:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years of automotive system software engineering experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in embedded system software design, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Deep expertise in Linux kernel architecture, including kernel subsystems, device drivers, bootloaders, and low-level system services.
  • Deep expertise in functionally safe Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors
  • Strong hands on experience in Yocto distribution and its layering proficient enough to guide internal engineering leads to the right scalable and modular technical solution
  • Working knowledge of other operating systems and hypervisors like QNX, Zephyr , Safe RTOS etc.
  • Understanding of secure and safe automotive software architecture, including safety subsystems and monitors.
  • Exposure to automotive software development standards: ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO21434.
  • Experience working with Automotive Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs is a strong plus.
  • Experience in commercializing automotive hardware/software platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable, standards-compliant Automotive Linux platforms using Yocto and industry-standard components.
  • Lead Safe Linux solution architectures working closely with internal safety leads and OSV
  • Lead Qualcomm's Safe Gunyah hypervisor architecture for automotive applications.
  • Work with Software Product Management to shape the Linux platform technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and Platform Solution Architects to define requirements and system architecture.
  • Provide technical and architectural support to the Linux Platform Engineering team.
