Walmart is seeking a dynamic, process-driven Director of Environmental Compliance to lead our enterprise-wide petroleum storage compliance program. In this high-impact role, you will empower a team of subject matter experts, safeguard operations and champion a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement. As a transformational and well-rounded compliance professional, you will shape strategy, drive execution, and embed compliance into the fabric of our business. You’ll leverage technology, data, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable results, enhance operational excellence, and future-proof our compliance programs. Your process-oriented mindset will ensure consistency, efficiency, and sustainable compliance outcomes across the enterprise.

  • Inspire, develop, and lead high-performing cross-functional programs to deliver best-in-class fuel compliance across the enterprise.
  • Drive strategic vision and execution of compliance initiatives, focusing on innovation, process optimization, and risk reduction.
  • Design, implement, and refine scalable processes and controls to ensure regulatory adherence and operational continuity.
  • Harness technology and analytics to automate workflows, unlock insights, and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business, legal, operations, and technical partners to assess risk, align on solutions, and implement impactful initiatives.
  • Monitor performance, identify trends, and champion continuous improvement to strengthen compliance and operational outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and adaptability, empowering teams to embrace change and deliver results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5+ years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7+ years’ relevant experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading large-scale initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated strength in process design, implementation, and continuous improvement within compliance or related functions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and a passion for leveraging technology to solve business challenges.
