The Director, Specialist Sales-Loyalty will drive growth of our value-added services within the Loyalty space. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling to senior executives, navigating matrixed organizations, and utilizing solution-based selling to drive clear value for customers. You will lead strategic client engagements and drive revenue growth for Mastercard’s newest media innovation, Commerce Media, a digital advertising platform built on Mastercard’s global payments infrastructure, enabling advertisers and financial institutions to deliver personalized campaigns using permissioned transaction data.

Requirements

  • Extensive media sales, digital advertising, or data-driven marketing experience, ideally within financial services, retail media networks, or performance marketing.
  • Proven success in quota-carrying roles; hunter mentality with a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong commercial drive with the ability to build and monetize senior client relationships.
  • Strategic software sales experience with expertise in CRM / Martech / Loyalty is an asset.
  • Excellent networking skills with the ability to influence and advance business opportunities.
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills.
  • Top-level sales skills combined with strong negotiation capabilities required for large deals.

  • Rolodex of C-Level / EVP / SVP contacts preferred.
  • Ability to thrive and build a robust pipeline with limited lead generation support.
  • Never give up attitude, excellent at ‘pounding the pavement’ through email/phone cold outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new loyalty platform sales (specifically Mastercard Commerce Media) within the financial services segment in North America.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for a key set of prospect accounts within the region to secure multimillion-dollar, multi-year deals.
  • Build and develop an active pipeline, ultimately progressing to signed platform deals.
  • Articulate the benefits of bundling our Loyalty Solutions products with other Data & Services products.
  • Communicate effectively and influence large deals with senior client audiences.
  • Partner across multiple internal sales, product management, program management, and finance teams.
  • Utilize problem-solving and analytics skills to engage with internal stakeholders and customers.
