As part of our Mission Strategy and Advanced Capability portfolio organization, we are seeking an experienced Business Development executive to lead the Lockheed Martin Space new business enterprise associated with Space Security Multi-Domain Missions and Effects “MDX” which includes space security RF capabilities across all domains - space, air, ground, maritime, etc. These missions include radio frequency effects, lex waveforms and unication protocols, and warfighter effectiveness across multiple domains. In addition to the MDE “effects”, the role will include MDM “missions” scope. This role requires a deep understanding of the customer unity and the government mission stakeholders that rely on electronic warfare, unications, signal generation (e.g., GPS), alternative PNT technologies, space-based augmentation systems, PNT and and control (C2), and navigation warfare. The Space Security Multi-Domain Effects and Multi-Doman Missions “MDX” Portfolio Director will have responsibility for defining the any's strategies, aligning financial and talent resources, prioritizing opportunities, developing mission-unique technologies, engaging customer/stakeholder unities, and ultimately delivering new business for the any in this growth area. We have cored up all future-looking mission capabilities in this portfolio organization to empower the portfolio leadership with an end-to-end purview of the mission in close collaboration with lines of business. This individual will partner closely with diverse lines of business, engineering & technology, the new Product Innovation and Integration organization, finance, government affairs, and other functions to bring the best of the corporation to this role.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in the development and operation of Space Security capabilities
  • Ability to demonstrate synthesis of technical, mission, and business considerations
  • Experience leading leaders in lex environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading growth of business including managing pipeline, directing resources, and leading capture of new business
  • Experience with oversight of budgets with emphasis on prioritization of spending based on strategic alignment
  • Must be a US Citizen and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for >$10B pipeline of opportunities in the US-domestic and international domains, with an average annual commitment to orders in excess of $1B
  • Understand and communicate a keen focus on the DOD MDX efforts, national security mission, and PNT missions
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships at senior levels, & regularly interface with them to shape & win new business
  • Develop cogent portfolio strategy to build upon Lockheed Martin's successes in the mission area, expanding both domestically & internationally
  • Direct all mission analysis and operations analysis (OA) tied to the space security MDX mission across the enterprise, while developing increased sophistication of toolsets and modeling & simulation capabilities
  • Define & oversee implementation of mission-specific technology development programs tied to both Internal- and Contracted Research & Development activities (IRAD & CRAD)
  • Manage capability delivery associated with R&D activities to meet mission and program requirements
  • Prioritizing resources to achieve most effective path to growth
