About The Position

The Director, Space Planning and Real Estate Project Management at SiriusXM will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the company's real estate portfolio. This position involves overseeing an accurate database of SiriusXM properties, which includes tracking the built environment, employee work locations, and the status of workspaces—whether they are occupied, bookable, or vacant. The Director will be responsible for allocating space for new hires and managing requests for moves, as well as forecasting future space needs across the SiriusXM and Pandora portfolio. Additionally, the role encompasses managing various projects related to the built environment, such as furniture orders and installations, modifications of existing spaces, and coordination of new construction projects. In this role, the Director will interface directly with the account manager for OfficeSpace software, ensuring that inventories of employee assignments to specific work locations are complete and up-to-date. The position requires project management skills to oversee work throughout the organization, including construction projects, vendor selection, and portfolio analysis. The Director will also train and guide field office managers and coordinators to maintain local facilities data and floor plans, ensuring that seating and asset management are accurately recorded. The Director will develop strategies for moves, expansions, and relocations based on department and employee needs, and will generate regular and ad-hoc reports from OfficeSpace to assist in real estate decisions. This includes creating and modifying reports in Microsoft Excel to capture data from other departments, such as Human Resources and Security. The role also involves assisting in furniture selection and installation, managing orders within project timelines and budgets, and partnering with facility managers across all locations in the SiriusXM/Pandora portfolio. The Director will respond to requests for drawings, inventories of space and people, and data on available space, while also reconciling and approving monthly rent statements and building work orders. Furthermore, the position requires managing vendor contracts for NYC sites and ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, as well as reviewing and approving all project and systems invoices for payment. The Director will supervise various third-party vendors and general contractors and administer systems such as OfficeSpace, Lenel, ExacqVision, and Envoy, among others.
