As a Director in NetApp's enterprise segment, you will partner with a sales director and lead a team (including leaders) to grow market share in your assigned territory. For this role, that will be the west region, primarily covering California based customers. Guiding your teams to successful outcomes means you: Leverage technical, sales, and broader industry acumen to define effective go-to-market strategies for your region. Hire, coach, develop, and retain top talent. Set expectations and guide behavior to ensure readiness (and technical wins) against key focus areas. Interact with partners and customers in your territory as part of go-to-market and growth strategies. Identify and cultivate internal and external partnerships critical to your initiatives and your team's success. Coach your team around account and deal strategy, technical feasibility of proposed solutions, and implementation of products/applications/solutions. The most effective candidate for this role will augment team leadership with targeted field engagement, leading from the front in interactions with key customer executives and with partners. Existing understanding of the NetApp portfolio - product positioning, solution applicability, and value proposition in a broader industry context - is desired but not required. They will have understanding of the customer (verticals) and experience in the region of assignment. You will most effectively lead this team by working with customers face to face and traveling regularly to their offices and sites within the region.
