About The Position

Responsibilities: Oversee daily production operations and show executions in accordance with management editorial views and direction. Supervise a production team, working with them on identifying shows’ main storylines, and creative ways to reflect them on-screen. Establish and maintain a top standard of on-air production, with clear direction. Elaborate coverage plans for special shows or projects. Manage production assignments and schedule, including time off, in coordination with the area’s senior producer. Analyze performance, provide training and guidance to team members, as well as regular feedback. Coordinate periodic meetings with production team to review shows, analyze areas of improvement and establish tangible next steps. Conduct searches for new team members in coordination with HR and management. Approach each new season of a show or property with a comprehensive plan to reflect recent success and opportunities for growth on and off screen. Lead talent assignments for shows. Work with talent in order to reach the department editorial standard. Act as a liaison between the production team and management. Have regular check-in meetings to report updates, align perspectives, expectations, and business goals.

Requirements

  • A solid knowledge of sports content with emphasis on soccer and the US Hispanic market.
  • Solid writing, editing and production principles.
  • A minimum of 10 years of control room experience, with progressively complex live studio and remote productions.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a sports production managerial role.
  • Fluent bilingual English/Spanish written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all network operations personnel and other support areas that may impact show planning and production.
  • Ability to multi-task, delegate and cover multiple production roles as needed.
  • Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment without direct supervision.
  • Ability to perform operations, even with last-minute changes.
  • Top notch organizational skills
  • Must be able to work a non-conventional work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Empathic leader that works as a member of a team.
  • Must display a positive work ethic
  • Must be able to always represent the department and the company with integrity, in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Must have a valid passport to travel
