About The Position

The Director, Servicing Product serves as the senior product leader responsible for the performance, execution, and outcomes of the servicing product function. This role leads a team of domain Principals and is accountable for ensuring that product strategy is effectively translated into scalable, compliant, and high-quality servicing capabilities across all domains. The Director is accountable for overall product requirements, backlog prioritization, and functional design, ensuring alignment between business needs, product design, and delivered functionality. This role is responsible for driving consistency across domains and translating complex servicing requirements into cohesive product solutions that support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong customer outcomes. The Director holds decision-making authority within the servicing product function, including prioritization, trade-offs, and cross-domain alignment. This role is accountable not only for individual product requirements, but for end-to-end execution, delivery outcomes, and the overall effectiveness of the servicing product platform. Working in close partnership with senior product leadership, engineering, and business stakeholders, this individual ensures that servicing product initiatives are delivered cohesively, with clear ownership, strong accountability, and consistent execution across domains.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex servicing, operational, and regulatory concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Proven experience leading and developing product teams, including managing senior individual contributors or managers.
  • Demonstrated accountability for cross-functional business outcomes at scale, beyond individual product areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into structured product requirements, user stories, and functional designs within complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple domains, competing priorities, and tight delivery timelines.
  • Deep understanding of product management practices, including backlog management, acceptance criteria definition, and iterative delivery methodologies (Agile or hybrid).
  • Proven experience working in regulated, high-volume environments requiring strong attention to detail, data integrity, and compliance (mortgage servicing, financial services, or fintech preferred).
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, driving alignment and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with the ability to produce executive-level materials and product documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing senior product or domain leaders while coordinating cross-domain delivery, decision-making and execution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis, or related roles, with demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-domain product initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Technology, Engineering) preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of servicing product initiatives, ensuring alignment to defined MVP scope, timelines, and business objectives.
  • Ensure translation of servicing business needs into clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and functional designs.
  • Own the servicing product backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive definition and enforcement of acceptance criteria, ensuring delivered functionality meets business expectations and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in product design and decision-making across all servicing domains, eliminating fragmentation and redundancy.
  • Accountable for execution and delivery outcomes across the servicing product portfolio, driving accountability across Principals and cross-functional teams for delivery commitments and product outcomes.
  • Manage cross-domain dependencies and competing priorities, ensuring resources are aligned to the highest-impact initiatives and delivery remains on track.
  • Serve as the decision authority for servicing product prioritization and trade-offs across domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery constraints.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Principal-level product professionals across servicing domains, ensuring strong domain ownership and accountability.
  • Establish clear expectations for performance, decision-making, and execution across the team.
  • Coach and develop Principals to operate as effective domain leaders, capable of translating complex servicing requirements into scalable product solutions.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high-quality execution across the servicing product organization.
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation and workload balance across domains to drive delivery priorities.
  • Hold Principals accountable for domain-level outcomes, ensuring consistent execution, quality, and alignment across the servicing product portfolio.
  • Serve as the integration point across servicing domains, aligning inputs from Principals into a cohesive product approach.
  • Provide leadership oversight across servicing domains, ensuring Principals operate with consistency in product design, requirements quality, and decision-making.
  • Translate senior leadership strategy into domain execution.
  • Resolve cross-domain dependencies, conflicts, and prioritization challenges to maintain forward delivery momentum.
  • Establish and enforce standardized approaches to requirements definition, process alignment, and functional design across domains.
  • Own execution of MVP scope across core servicing areas, ensuring delivery of a viable, scalable, and compliant product foundation.
  • Drive iterative refinement of product functionality, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, Principals, and testing cycles.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure functional requirements are clearly understood, feasible, and aligned with system capabilities.
  • Support tradeoff decisions between scope, speed, and complexity to enable timely delivery without compromising critical functionality.
  • Partner with product leadership, engineering, program management, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations.
  • Communicate product direction, priorities, and decisions clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Influence stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve ambiguity, and effective decision-making across complex initiatives.
  • Adapt communication approach to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure alignment of product requirements with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet business and operational needs.
  • Support definition of test scenarios and validation criteria in partnership with business and QA teams.
  • Drive readiness for release by ensuring clarity of functionality, business processes, and operational impacts.
  • Identify gaps, defects, or misalignments and drive resolution prior to deployment.
  • Establish and maintain disciplined product management processes that support scalability, auditability, and consistency across servicing domains.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve product development efficiency, requirements quality, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Incorporate feedback loops from implementation, operations, and stakeholders to refine product functionality and processes.
  • Drive adoption of tools, frameworks, and best practices that enhance product delivery effectiveness.
