About The Position

CreditSights is currently seeking a Senior Credit Analyst, Insurance, based out of our New York office. With offices in New York, London, Singapore, Glasgow, Denver, and Charlotte, we serve a diverse global institutional client base, including banks, investment advisors, mutual funds, and hedge funds. We have a leading voice in the credit markets, with expert insights featured in top publications such as Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times. CreditSights is a Fitch Solutions Company, providing a dynamic environment for professional growth and innovation. About the Team CreditSights is a team of 100 analysts globally. We are looking for a candidate who is qualified, eager, and self-starting. The ideal candidate has been following the Insurance sector for at least six years and has demonstrated responsibility for investment views.

Requirements

  • At least six years of experience conducting credit research related to the US Insurance sector.
  • A record of previous publications with relative value analysis is preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to write clearly, quickly and prolifically.
  • A record of extensive issuer and investor interaction.
  • Ability to multi-task, with a strong work ethic.
  • Undergraduate / post graduate degree.
  • CFA designation seen favorably.

  • High market recognition of the existing US Insurance analysis and research publications, with extensive engagement with investors/clients.
  • A can-do attitude to publish research quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead US Insurance research in conducting fundamental credit analysis of the US Financials sector.
  • Publish frequently on a portfolio of credits and market themes.
  • Meet current and prospective clients to discuss and to market CreditSights’ research, in conjunction with our sales team.
  • Collaborate with a market-leading Credit Strategy team on sector and market-level themes and views.
  • Interact with colleagues in our New York, London and Singapore offices on research topics to establish common views on the market outlook and sectoral views.
