We are seeking a Director, SAP Financial Systems – Treasury to serve as the strategic business product owner for Treasury capabilities within our global SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. This role will partner with the treasury process owners and IT to own the end‑to‑end design for Treasury, ensuring the solution is architected, deployed, and governed in a way that tightly integrates with the broader Financial Accounting (FI), Cash & Liquidity Management, Banking, In‑House Cash, Risk Management, and broader cross‑module processes. Given the complexity of SAP module interaction, this leader will drive the technical and functional alignment between Treasury, Finance, and the enterprise SAP template. The Director will partner closely with Treasury business leadership and the SAP program team to ensure the Treasury solution is robust, compliant, efficient, and scalable for future growth. This is a highly visible, cross‑functional senior role requiring deep SAP expertise, strong design authority, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, in Finance, Accounting or Systems/IT
  • 10–15+ years of experience in SAP Finance, including deep expertise in Treasury & Risk Management (TRM), Cash & Liquidity Management, Bank Account Management, and integration to FI/CO.
  • Prior leadership experience in large SAP implementations or global S/4 transformations.
  • Proven design authority capabilities: setting standards, governing solution designs, and aligning complex cross‑module requirements.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting, including postings, month‑end close, payment processing, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior Finance & Treasury leaders and communicate complex SAP concepts clearly.
  • Experience working with system integrators and managing cross‑functional technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Hands‑on experience with S/4HANA Treasury, including Bank Communication Management (BCM), IHC, Payment Factory, and SWIFT connectivity.
  • Understanding of treasury products (FX, derivatives, interest rate hedging, investments, debt).
  • Familiarity with internal controls, risk frameworks, and global treasury operating models.
  • Experience in a large, multinational organization with global template governance.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture Serve as a member of the Design Authority for all SAP Treasury and Cash Management capabilities within the enterprise template.
  • Define and govern the Treasury target-state architecture including Bank Account Management, Cash Positioning, Cash Forecasting, Payments, In‑House Cash, Risk Management (FX, interest rate), and Treasury Accounting.
  • Ensure seamless integration across FI, CO, AP, AR, IHC, Banking, and external treasury platforms.
  • Lead the alignment of Treasury functionality with global process standards, ensuring no fragmentation or local divergences unless formally approved.
  • Program & Project Leadership Act as the senior treasury business product owner within the SAP S/4 transformation program.
  • Guide solution architects, functional analysts, and SI partners in implementing Treasury components according to design principles.
  • Review and sign off on all Treasury‑related functional specs, enhancements, interfaces, and conversion designs.
  • Cross‑Functional Integration Ensure the Treasury solution cleanly interoperates with downstream financial processes, including postings to FI, automatic journal entries, clearing, and month‑end close.
  • Collaborate with the Directors of FI, Controlling, Order‑to‑Cash, and Procure‑to‑Pay to resolve integration dependencies and ensure business processes remain end‑to‑end consistent.
  • Own the integration map for Treasury across the SAP and non‑SAP landscapes (banks, trading platforms, market data providers, etc.).
  • Stakeholder Influence & Leadership Partner with senior Treasury leadership to translate strategic objectives into SAP design decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions and educate leaders on SAP standard capabilities, integration constraints, and best‑practice design.
  • Drive decision‑making in complex cross‑module discussions where Treasury requirements may conflict with enterprise template or other functional areas.
  • Governance & Standards Set and maintain Treasury design standards, configuration principles, and documentation across all releases.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, audit compliance, and segregation of duties in Treasury processes and access.
  • Guide change control processes for Treasury‑related enhancements and integrations.
