About The Position

The Director of Sales Training and Development reports directly to the SVP of Global Sales Training and Performance and Development. This position is responsible for leading and training consistent quality of delivery within Sales Presentations. The focus will be on above budget VPG’s in both Action Line and Inhouse while maintaining a commitment to Hilton Values as we conduct branded presentations across the company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong presentation skills are required.
  • A minimum of 6 years in Vacation Ownership sales with a successful track record required.
  • A minimum of 4 years in sales training required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales management required.
  • Excellent leadership skills and communication skills.
  • Proven successful track record of directing a sales division or department with minimum of five years' experience; preferably with an internationally branded hospitality company.
  • Experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within vacation ownership sales.
  • Has a passion for the industry and sales profession.
  • Leads, for example.
  • Has ability as an emotional leader.
  • You must have a strong sense of integrity.
  • Must have a customer-centered focus.
  • Must possess a high work ethic standard.
  • Has a positive demeanor.
  • Has the ability to embrace change.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leaders to ensure lasting and ongoing reinforcement of the branded sales process.
  • Facilitate the training of the branded sales process and support tools.
  • This will include certification for the new hire and existing sales executives, along with sales management.
  • Facilitate the production of budgeted sales volume with personal presentation skills.
  • Lead by example.
  • Conduct demo presentations that exhibit mastery of the HGV Branded Presentation.
  • To create and provide HGV with the most comprehensive sales tools available to the vacation ownership industry.
  • Create, Foster and Nurture a sales environment that continues to make HGV the Preferred employer in the industry.
  • Work closely with Regional SVP, VP, Director of Sales, and respective site management teams to increase overall VPG and profit yield to the company.
  • Earn respect through professionalism, knowledge, content, and effectiveness when working with sales teams.
  • This involves frequent travel to the respective sales centers and utilizing exceptional presentation skills.
  • Follow up with comprehensive implementation and reinforcement of any training conducted.
  • Keep abreast of industry practices, best practices, new innovations, technology, and other successful processes that are being utilized.
  • Possess computer skills and be able to work with Power Point and Word.
  • Lead by example; specifically provide direction in developing a positive, highly enthusiastic following.
  • Properly communicate information and feedback to Regional SVP, VP. Director of Sales, and site management team for any information regarding effectiveness of training, employee culture and morale.
  • Coordinate the overall rollout with sale center site management and Regional SVP a strategy to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness.
  • Assist in recruiting talented personnel to the organization whenever possible.
  • Conduct sales meetings and morning motivational sales meetings when needed.
  • Conduct Demo Rides of entire Branded Sales Process.
  • Direct the creation and consistency of all sales training material.
  • Utilize effective measurement tools (e.g. surveys, assessments, and performance metrics) to determine the effectiveness of training solutions, and present enhancement strategies to management
  • Create and manage the training budget to ensure cost efficiency and secure resources needed for training and development

  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures
