About The Position

We are seeking a Director Regional OEM Sales, Hydrostatics (Americas) out of our Ames site. Your innovative thinking, technical & commercial knowledge combined with business acumen can create new business opportunities for Hydrostatics, one of the divisions of Danfoss Power Solutions. Your customer-centric outlook with the technical know-how will help elevate the value creation for our customers. You play a pivotal role in preparing and presenting the business proposals for new and existing business. This newly created position will focus on growth, customer engagement, and promoting Hydrostatics world-class product lines and system solutions along with our other divisions. You will be the key liaison between the regional sales and business unit leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Mechanical / Mechatronics/Electrical
  • 10 years of job related and previous management experience
  • Strong background in sales, marketing, and operations within a large organization

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in business administration / Data Analytics / Finance is an added advantage
  • Industry work experience of approximately 15 years. Proximity to the hydraulics industry will be an added advantage
  • Commercial and technical experience working closely with big and mid-size OEM's.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Sales account managers responsible for OEM accounts.
  • Business and sales development to meet profitable growth aspirations.
  • Defining vision, developing, and executing strategies for key accounts globally.
  • Own and drive financial performance, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
  • Lead a high-performing team, including Account Managers as direct reports, and provide informal leadership across regions to drive key account strategies.
  • Exploring avenues to enhance value for the customers and improve the financials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, fostering partnerships that drive Danfoss Power Solutions' success.
  • Manage day-to-day operations while executing transformational initiatives to drive innovation and change.
  • Expect to travel approximately 10-30%. Mainly domestic but could include international as required.
