Such responsibilities encompass the internal processes of the Department and integration of the units into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
  • BSN required.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or relevant field within five years of accepting position.
  • Appropriate clinical experience.
  • 3 – 5 years leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership in the provision of services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS.
  • Participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and improve performance of management, clinical, and/or support services.
  • Maintain accountability for overall processes affecting unit functioning by demonstrating improvement in at least one process or outcome annually with supportive documentation.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance as related to The Joint Commission, Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Board of Nursing.
  • Assures implementation and evaluation of new and/or enhanced services.
