About The Position

This role will lead Project Risk globally strengthening our Project Risk capabilities, processes and systems in alignment with Worley’s enterprise-wide Risk strategy, standards and priorities. Partnering with Regional Vice Presidents of Project Services and Global Risk, this role provides risk thought leadership, foresight, challenge and guidance in line with enterprise strategy, values, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations to address operational needs, emerging risks, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Extensive relevant experience with significant supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Deep expertise in designing, standardizing, and continuously advancing global risk identification and mitigation practices across the full project lifecycle, including complex EPC delivery.
  • Integrates operational insight from geographically diverse regions into scalable, system-enabled solutions that strengthen enterprise risk visibility and control.
  • Makes independent high impact recommendations and decisions that shape global governance and major project oversight. Decisions are for long-range planning, coordination, and technical decisions that can be either specific and/or far-reaching. Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies for their groups, which may impact the region, location or large project; Ability to manage multiple complex projects through others; Works frequently with location and regional management on significant matters influencing the business results.
  • Operates with broad, enterprise-wide authority over Project Risk system governance and strategy, empowered to make decisions that impact projects and operations globally.
  • Effectively communicate and present Project risk reports to senior level management. Ability to persuade and influence others. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
  • Organizational leadership with location / regional authority.
  • Strong understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to lead and guide the strategic development of new systems, processes and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the enterprise authority for Project Risk under the governance of the Global Risk group.
  • Provides strategic leadership and trusted advisory support to executive stakeholders and project teams worldwide.
  • Demonstrates a strategic, enterprise-wide perspective in advancing the global Project Risk framework, ensuring alignment with Worley’s business objectives and project delivery priorities.
  • Translates organizational strategy into actionable risk initiatives and system optimization strategies that enhance efficiency, transparency, and value across the project portfolio.
  • Strengthens risk maturity and enables consistent, reliable project execution and operational excellence worldwide through disciplined governance and continuous improvement.
  • Drives system optimization, strengthens data integrity and enterprise-wide consistency, and champions continuous improvement to enhance risk visibility, support successful project delivery, and enable business transformation initiatives.
  • Drives consistent, high-quality risk identification and mitigation across the full project lifecycle, from early planning through execution.
  • Contributes to initiative prioritization and solution development.
  • Represents Operations globally, partnering with Digital Project Delivery (DPD) and cross-functional leaders to align system enhancements with Worley’s Management System and Project Risk requirements.
  • Integrates risk governance across Operations, supports major project reviews, audits, recovery efforts, and bid-stage risk input.
  • Drives system use, and data integrity to enhance Project Risk performance and reporting.
  • Leads the evolution of Project Risk capabilities over the next 1–3 years, supporting operational excellence and sustained business improvement.
  • Maintains a global community of practice to drive consistency, collaboration and best practices across all regions.
