The Director of Revenue Cycle Management at SMA Healthcare is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily operations of billing, follow-up, and collections. This role involves working closely with other departments to streamline procedures that ensure correct billing to clients and payers in a timely manner, thereby expediting healthcare receivables. The Director will monitor team performance, establish and maintain departmental policies, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and develop key performance indicators to track the revenue cycle's effectiveness.   • Oversee and support the daily operations including billing, follow-up and collections.
  • Work closely with other departments to streamline procedures for timely billing.
  • Monitor team performance and make necessary changes to improve efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to revenue cycle.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Maximize collection of medical services payments and reimbursements.
  • Review and enhance insurance verification, coding review, and billing processes.
  • Analyze claims, utilization, and medical cost data.
  • Regularly provide upper management with revenue cycle status reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Three years of management-level experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Thorough knowledge of billing, collections, and cash posting processes.
  • General knowledge of client registration, finance, and data processing.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to client accounting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Utilization Review process.
