About The Position

US Heart and Vascular is needing a Remote Revenue Cycle Management Director to join our team. Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President of RCM, the Director, Revenue Cycle Management is an essential leadership position within the Revenue Cycle Management division, responsible for driving maximized reimbursement at optimized cost. The role directs and supervises revenue cycle management (RCM) functions and capabilities by providing leadership, adherence to organizational and strategic direction, and driving efficient, accurate, and compliant activities in support of rightful reimbursement for services. This dynamic leader will be expected to build formal teams and influence informal teams across all functional areas of the enterprise to deliver world-class revenue capabilities.

  • Presentation skills capable of developing and writing complex presentations for any audience using multiple formats.
  • Strong presenter/facilitator with senior executive presence.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and independent, sound judgment while excelling in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Provide critical thought partnership on intellectual/organizational/political topics.
  • Analytical skills to structure and guide complex analytics to support project needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience solving complex problems.
  • Proven record of successful revenue-driving partnerships, creating deal-making, and effective relationship management.
  • History of achievement leading and influencing change in large organizations required.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare revenue cycle and provider operations

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive leadership in a team-oriented environment to translate the strategic plan into action plans that drive revenue.
  • Position the enterprise to look beyond the current boundaries to gain access to ideas, knowledge, and technology that add revenue.
  • Analyze existing practices to isolate areas ripe for improvement or enhancement.
  • Lead complex revenue cycle systems integrations from acquired practices—allocation and prioritization of resources, dependency identification, project funding and management, integration task tracking, and review and testing of completed work.
  • Quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders to mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Manage a balanced portfolio of projects focused on product, service, process, and business model innovation for revenue creation.
  • Ensure timely, successful achievement of initiatives.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and industry vendors to advance the partnering portfolio.
  • Identify potential strategic partners, including assessment of organizational fit and congruence with revenue strategies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of vendor partner integration plans to execute partnerships, including vendor negotiations and pricing successfully.
  • Supervise the functions of Claims/Billing Production, Payment Posting, Refunds and Reimbursements, and Insurance A/R Follow-Up (Denials).
  • Supervise the functions of contract reimbursement analysis to identify and rightfully recover underpaid claims, as well as the appeal operations with respect to payer relations.
