About The Position

The Director of Retail Training at Samsung Electronics America is responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive training strategy across multiple lines of business, including Home Electronics, Digital Appliances, and Mobility. This role focuses on developing training initiatives, improving processes, and ensuring effective training delivery to partner sellers. The Director will also oversee metrics and reporting related to training and certification, while collaborating with various teams to enhance the retail experience and drive sales.

Requirements

  • 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of retail management experience in store or corporate office.
  • Deep training knowledge with the ability to demonstrate best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage a world-class training strategy across Home Electronics, Digital Appliances, and Mobility.
  • Develop and improve end-to-end processes for training initiatives.
  • Identify and manage training capabilities within systems and platforms for partner sellers.
  • Oversee metrics and reporting associated with training and certification status across the partner ecosystem.
  • Garner insights and execute initiatives to improve field processes for three lines of business.
  • Partner with the Field Execution team to identify opportunity markets and best practices.
  • Drive communication, knowledge, processes, and feedback to support the field team.
  • Explain complex information succinctly to Samsung's retail executive leadership team.
  • Set the product training strategy for mobility, home entertainment, and digital appliance lines of business.
  • Coordinate and operationalize training-led events and initiatives such as New Hire Orientations and National Training Meetings.
  • Manage training calendars and planning while overseeing quarterly and annual plans.
  • Create and maintain the Training GTM playbook outlining training operations and strategy.
  • Achieve critical training Key Performance Indicators (KPI) against global and national targets.
  • Lead and strategize with cross-functional leaders for the deployment of training and development solutions.
