About The Position

The Director Retail Sales is responsible for leading the development and implementation of retail strategies to achieve commercial objectives for Anheuser-Busch. This role involves managing a team of Key Account Managers to enhance retail sales processes, build local account plans, and develop category strategies that drive growth for the company's brands. The position requires collaboration with internal and external partners and the establishment of strong relationships with local customers to meet sales goals.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of retail initiatives (On and Off Premise)
  • Advanced proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High level of expertise in analyzing information and making data-driven recommendations
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures is preferred
  • Effective communication, presentation, follow-up, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries
  • Understanding of wholesaler network/processes and wholesaler equity agreements
  • Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and mentor the National Retail Sales KAM Team
  • Grow sales and market share within the NRS team
  • Provide total account management, including selling in programs and brand promotions
  • Utilize a suite of sales tools such as BIR, IRI, Power BI, and Nielsen
  • Maintain active communication with Commercial and Wholesaler personnel
  • Evaluate strategies and action plans against the allocated budget and manage budgets
  • Contribute to the development and management of the annual account plan
  • Facilitate communication of wholesaler's pricing to chain accounts
  • Develop and maintain current and new relationships
  • Foster a team-first mentality and ability to multi-task with numerous stakeholders
  • Prioritize deadlines and tasks effectively
