About The Position

The Retail and Education Director for Travel Retail Americas will drive the development and execution of best-in-class retail and education strategies across the Americas, with a strong focus on Latin America and the North American airports. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of both regional markets and the unique demands of the travel retail environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in retail, marketing and/or education roles.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving commercial results through training, retail excellence, and team development.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is mandatory; Portuguese is a strong plus.
  • Must be able to travel frequently across the U.S., Latin America, and Canada (up to 50%).
  • Deep understanding of travel retail dynamics, shopper behavior, and operator relationships.
  • Proficient in digital training tools, reporting dashboards, and Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred, ideally within Travel Retail and Fragrance/Makeup categories.
  • Proven experience managing teams and implementing education programs in the LATAM and U.S. travel retail markets.
  • Must be autonomous, decisive, with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead retail strategy and operations across LATAM, the U.S., and Canada Travel Retail markets.
  • Drive retail excellence, ensuring high standards of customer service, merchandising, and in-store execution.
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to optimize door-level performance and conversion.
  • Monitor KPIs across the region to drive growth and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support and coach a team of Retail Managers and beauty advisors to deliver sell out targets.
  • Design and execute tailored education programs that reflect brand identity and regional needs for Fragrances and Makeup.
  • Lead a hybrid training strategy combining in-person coaching with digital platforms.
  • Align training content with global brand guidelines, adapting for local relevance and effectiveness.
  • Support and coach a team of field trainers and beauty advisors to deliver engaging consumer experiences.
  • Manage and mentor a regional team of education and retail professionals across Latin America and North America.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and HR to ensure alignment of goals and execution.
  • Act as the key liaison between local markets and global education teams.
