About The Position

As our Director Respiratory / Cardiopulmonary Services for Community Hospital San Bernardino you will be responsible for the coordination, provision and delivery of high quality cardiopulmonary services, and to provide leadership in analyzing and projecting present and future needs for our respiratory services. You will work in collaboration with hospital executive leaders, other department leaders, and front-line leaders and staff in cardiopulmonary services to develop and implement integrated policies and procedures, and ensure that standards, policies, and procedures are followed in daily practice. You will compile continuous quality improvement projects in coordination with key personnel, and plan and implement new service plans and departmental changes. You will also ensure compliance with accreditation, certification, licensure and government standards relevant to the different cardiopulmonary/neurodiagnostic services, and ensure CLIA and CAP regulations are met in the Blood Gas Laboratory. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, or combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related field required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience required.
  • Current California license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic LIfe Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities
