The Director of Research will lead the research function of the Client Delivery team. The Director will manage the research team and will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align research-related initiatives with the company’s and team’s strategic goals. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the research team, focused on optimizing project implementation based on robust SOPs and best practices.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in epidemiology or related field (doctoral degree strongly preferred), plus substantial (~10+ years) professional experience in the health tech industry / consulting environment.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in professional services / scientific consulting environment.
  • Advanced understanding of epidemiologic methodology, real-world research best practices, quantitative methods in pharmacoepidemiology and/or related fields, and significant applied experience in research implementation.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders and build positive rapport and strong collaborative relationships.
  • As a condition of employment, the individual must provide proof of Covid 19 vaccination unless a medical or religious exemption is granted by TriNetX.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of research scientists, providing guidance, support, and oversight to empower them to meet strategic business objectives
  • Plan, guide, and conduct a large book of business (research services) as Strategic Lead
  • Provide guidance, review, and final oversight for full lifecycle of research projects, from proposal through delivery of final report and publication
  • Support project meetings as a real-world research/epidemiology SME
  • Develop an efficient staffing model to support a growing research book of business
  • Act as an escalation point for any client- or project-related challenges (e.g., scope creep, conflict resolution) experienced by the research team
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring the organization remains competitive in terms of research services
