About The Position

The Director of Repertory Theatre at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the theatre program, including teaching and directing high school students in drama and musicals. The position requires a strong background in theatre and experience in directing performances. The director will work closely with students to develop their acting skills and ensure successful productions throughout the school year.

Requirements

• Must have experience in drama and high school musicals.
• Theater experience preferred.
• Minimum Requirement is a valid NJ Substitute Certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach and direct all actors on stage for high school musicals and drama productions.
• Oversee the rehearsal process and ensure that all performances meet high artistic standards.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to integrate theatre into the broader school curriculum.
• Manage production logistics, including set design, costumes, and technical aspects of performances.
