About The Position

As the Director of Reliability Engineering at Anduril Industries, you will lead the Reliability Engineering team to ensure that products meet stringent reliability standards and operational requirements. This role involves onboarding product teams into the Reliability framework, managing continuous improvement processes, and overseeing root cause and corrective action efforts throughout the product development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for developing metrics, supporting field performance monitoring, and liaising with upstream teams to drive improvement actions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years Industry Experience as a Reliability Engineering leader, Design Engineering leader, or Test Engineering leader.
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working on Advanced Hardware Systems.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams of 5-10 or more.

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • Expert in proactive and reactive Reliability Engineering methodologies.
  • Experience with HALT, Environmental Testing, and Mechanical Loads Testing.
  • Customer Communications, Reporting, and Roadmap Presentation experience.
  • Technical writing experience developing standards, specifications, user guides, and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts in design, analysis, and optimization of systems and processes to meet Reliability standards.
  • Onboard product teams into the Reliability Engineering framework.
  • Communicate the Reliability vision, goals, and framework across the company.
  • Outline goals and roadmaps each quarter with Reliability SMEs for the team.
  • Define budget goals and outline constraints for Hardware Product Management.
  • Support Design & Development Engineers in identifying risks early through predictive analysis and FMEA.
  • Lead Reliability Engineer efforts with product teams for design reliability and validation testing.
  • Lead System Safety efforts with product teams including functional hazard analysis and fault tree analysis.
  • Oversee Reliability testing for validation and qualification such as accelerated life testing and environmental testing.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety principles.
