About The Position

Assurant delivers a broad portfolio of insurance, warranty, and service contract programs that rely on precise, transparent, and compliant communication to help customers make informed and confident decisions. High‑quality regulatory communication is essential to protecting customers, promoting transparency, and fostering trust across all regulated materials and customer touchpoints. The Director, Regulatory Communications, leads all regulatory communication efforts for Assurant Mobile Services and Home Solutions clients. This role is responsible for developing and managing financial, operational, and compliance objectives within Connected Living Compliance—including regulatory document development, client form services, advertising and marketing compliance, digital archival management, and customer fulfillment operations. This position also oversees digital and mail delivery solutions and provides cross‑functional leadership to ensure consistent, compliant, and customer-centric execution across programs and channels. This is a remote role, with a strong preference for candidates based in Atlanta, GA, or the Miami, FL area. Exceptional candidates in other locations will also be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing and/or Communications
  • Experience managing leaders/managers
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database tools
  • Experience managing both small and large‑scale initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to balance short‑ and long‑term business considerations

Responsibilities

  • Organizational Leadership Build and lead an effective organization with efficient workflows, clear performance standards, appropriate staffing, strong supervision, and timely communication.
  • Program & Project Management Oversee and delegate project management for high‑profile, complex mobile and home solutions clients—including major implementations reaching over 14 million customers annually. Direct development of print and e‑fulfillment terms & conditions and document mapping matrices, ensuring compliance across program lifecycles.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with internal and external teams, including clients, compliance, creative, IT, legal, marketing, operations, production, risk management, and vendors, to successfully launch and maintain compliant programs.
  • Regulatory Expertise Maintain deep knowledge of regulatory changes and work with subject‑matter experts to provide strategic compliance guidance.
  • Document Governance Guide regulatory changes impacting client programs; develop and maintain compliant coverage documents; implement revisions according to strict regulatory standards.
  • Terms & Conditions Oversight Lead all aspects of client terms and conditions documentation, including product variances, forms programming, document mapping, scheduling, auditing, and stakeholder education.
  • Compliance Monitoring Investigate and document compliance deficiencies, oversee audits, and implement monitoring policies ensuring adherence to state regulations and company guidelines.
  • Internal Partnerships Build strong relationships with marketing, creative, and other organizational teams to align services and enhance business integration.
  • Leadership & Budgeting Manage, coach, and evaluate employees. Develop short‑ and long‑term plans, build and administer budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Training & Quality Assurance Develop orientation and training programs and oversee an ongoing quality-assurance program across all responsible areas.
  • Client Engagement & Business Development Promote departmental services to existing and prospective clients through proposals, presentations, and value‑added opportunities.
