Optum Insight is seeking a strategic and highly collaborative leader to serve as the VP of Government Programs & HHS Strategic Coordination. This role will coordinate enterprise-wide efforts across Optum Insight, Optum Health, Optum Rx, and UnitedHealthcare on key initiatives involving the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), including CMS, CMMI. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

10+ years of experience working with CMS, CMMI, HHS, or federal health programs
Experience navigating matrixed organizations
Understanding of federal program structures and health IT policy
Solid communication skills
Ability to travel 25%25

Responsibilities

Federal Strategy & Relationship Coordination with Health Policy and Health Technology Policy
Represent Optum Insight across UHG business segments, including business leaders, external affairs and regulatory experts
Program Integration Across Key Federal Initiatives
Policy, Proposed Rule, RFI/RFP, and Federal Opportunity Alignment
Internal Communication & Governance
