Our teams are empowered to share ideas, actively pursue them and bring on a challenge. As champions of internal mobility and access to opportunity, we encourage our people to “go for it” and equip our managers with the training to coach their teams to the next level. We strive to provide employees a safe space to network, share ideas and create opportunities. The Director oversees teams responsible for the timely analysis of trading data, assessment of alerts, research of potential issues, and determination of appropriate regulatory dispositions. As the final authority on alert outcomes, the Director evaluates evidence, distinguishes normal market dynamics from actionable misconduct, and ensures all analysis work meets quality standards expected for potential enforcement action. This role also drives innovation in surveillance methods and technology. The Director manages the exception‑generation process, identifies enhancements to automated surveillance tools, and develops new analytical concepts to detect emerging forms of market manipulation. Acting as a bridge between Regulatory leadership and technology partners, the Director translates complex market behaviors into clear requirements for new or improved RegTech capabilities. Strong leadership is essential. The Director develops and mentors managers and analysts, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory expectations. Regular team meetings are used to monitor alert status, resolve operational impediments, and maintain efficient workflows without compromising analytical depth or quality. Cross‑functional collaboration is central to the role. The Director works closely with Regulatory Development, Options Investigations, Enforcement, and other internal partners to support case handoffs, refine processes, and advance strategic regulatory initiatives. The Director also interacts professionally with external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries from the SEC and participating in audits, discussions, and special projects as assigned.
