About The Position

The Director, Regional HR Business Partner at Proofpoint is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals to deliver operational HR support across multiple locations. This role involves collaborating with regional business leaders to address unique HR needs, providing strategic guidance, and implementing HR programs aligned with organizational goals. The position oversees a global HRBP team across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ regions, ensuring effective HR practices and enhancing the employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR operations and leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, with the ability to navigate complex HR issues and provide strategic guidance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing HRBP team.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience implementing HR programs and initiatives, including compensation, benefits, talent management, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems; experience with Workday or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Regionally based HR Business Partners (HRBPs) responsible for delivering operational HR support and services to designated locations and business units.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders and executives, providing guidance and support on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement compensation, benefits, talent management, and employee engagement programs tailored to business unit needs.
  • Partner with HR leadership to implement HR policies, procedures, and programs locally, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and support HR projects and initiatives, such as training programs, employee engagement surveys, and compliance efforts to enhance the employee experience and drive organizational success.
