About The Position

The Director of Quality manages the control, security, and retention requirements of all quality documents and records for the Corporation and facilitates the timely resolution of any information and record issues. This role ensures compliance with all quality standards in place throughout the Corporation as well as manages Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements for the entire corporation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Quality, Lean /Six Sigma, and Operations experience required.
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • ERP experience (Infor SX Enterprise for Distribution a plus)
  • Require attentive to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Required to obtain auditor training certification AS 9100 within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Good interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel required - approximately 30 - 40%
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Nice To Haves

  • AS9120 Aerospace Quality experience is preferred.
  • CRM experience a plus Environmental, Health, and Safety management experience a plus.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge/Experience with software relevant to quality management systems.
  • Certified Safety Professional preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages/owns the quality process for the corporation.
  • Manages/owns the Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance processes for the corporation.
  • Manages the control, security, and retention requirements of all quality documents and records for the Corporation.
  • Assures all the records for the Corporation associated with REACH and RoHS are maintained Assures all Zone Environmental, Health and Safety requirements are compliant.
  • Facilitates the annual Executive Management Review Meeting.
  • Assures the quality records retention requirements are understood and followed for the Corporation.
  • Supports information retrieval to ensure all needs are met for both internal and external customers.
  • Prepares a report of the annual Executive Management Review Meeting.
  • Serves as the primary contact for DNV (Quality Certification Registrar).
  • Assures all quality requirements are communicated throughout the Corporation.
  • Analyzes and implements quality improvements as needed.
  • Facilitates key meetings associated with Continuous Improvement (CI).
  • Maintains the control, security, and retention requirements of all electronic quality documents & records.
  • Assures timely preparation and posting of the monthly quality objective and metric reports.
  • Responsibility for CI opportunity identification and prioritization.
  • Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality.
  • Other duties as required.
