About The Position

The Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based quality initiatives, related process improvements, and the Clinical Documentation. The Director is responsible and accountable to ensure that Department Goals and Objectives are aligned with the Corporate Objectives and Strategic Plan. The Director is responsible and accountable to ensure that action plans are set in place to reach goals the organization should successfully attain for its strategy to succeed. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development of self through active self-reflection, personal competency development strategies, and role modeling the “Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies” to promote our Monument Health vision and mission. Requirements

  • Certification - Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Directs the development, implementation, and monitoring of assigned evidence-based quality initiatives.
  • Identifies and incorporates evidence-based best practices that promote improved patient outcomes, quality and safety.
  • Consults with administration, medical staff, and/or management staff regarding evidence-based quality measurements and processes to improve organization performance.
  • Assists with the establishment of baselines and targets for quality measurements.
  • Coordinates and facilitates interdisciplinary teams for the development and implementation of improvement projects and/or processes related to quality initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities and issues, initiates actions/projects to improve processes, and reports initiative/project information to appropriate personnel.
  • Fosters excellent working relationships with an environment of trust and rapport to facilitate efficient, appropriate, coordinated care, ensuing positive patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates effective fiscal management through efficiency and cost containment measures incorporated into Clinical Effectiveness projects and processes.
  • Directs Clinical Documentation Program services, initiatives, and outcome monitoring.
  • Develops skills and abilities of team members so that they are aligned with corporate strategies and objectives, operational objectives, departmental objectives and individual goals.
  • Serves as a mentor to move staff toward enhanced knowledge, independent problem solving and improved skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.
