About The Position

The Director, Quality & Process is responsible for leading regional governance and execution of DP World’s corporate quality management systems, enterprise process standards, and AI-enabled transformation programs across the Americas. This role ensures that DP World operates to consistent, world-class standards across terminals, logistics, and supply chain solutions, while continuously improving how we work through process excellence, digitalization, and intelligent automation. The Director plays a critical role in enabling safe, compliant, efficient, and scalable operations that support DP World’s ambition to be the end-to-end supply chain partner of choice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Business, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality management, process excellence, or operational transformation within ports, logistics, supply chain, or asset-intensive industries
  • Proven experience leading ISO-based quality management systems and successful audit outcomes in a complex, multi-site environment
  • Strong background in enterprise process governance, standardization, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing AI, automation, or digital transformation programs in partnership with IT and business teams
  • Experience working in a regional or global, matrixed organization
  • Up to 25–30% travel across the Americas region
  • Strong strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
  • Deep understanding of quality systems, operational risk, and process governance
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions and functions
  • Change leadership and transformation delivery experience
  • Analytical, data-driven decision-making approach
  • Clear, confident communicator at executive and operational levels

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or relevant technical discipline)
  • Professional certifications (ISO Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP or equivalent)
  • Experience within port operations, terminals, freight forwarding, contract logistics, or integrated supply chain environments
  • Familiarity with AI governance, data ethics, or model risk management frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the Americas Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with DP World global standards and ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 and other applicable standards)
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, certification activities, and management reviews across the region
  • Ensure consistent implementation of DP World quality policies, procedures, and controls across terminals, logistics sites, and corporate functions
  • Drive corrective and preventive action programs, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable improvements
  • Act as the regional point of contact for Corporate Quality, external auditors, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain a regional framework for enterprise process management aligned with DP World global operating models
  • Lead process mapping, harmonization, and optimization initiatives across operations, supply chain solutions, and enabling functions
  • Embed continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, standard work) to improve safety, quality, service, and cost performance
  • Define process governance, ownership, KPIs, and maturity assessments to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Identify operational and process risks and partner with the business to implement effective controls and improvements
  • Provide regional oversight and governance for AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation initiatives impacting operations, quality, and corporate processes
  • Partner with IT, Digital, Data, and Business teams to prioritize AI use cases aligned with DP World’s transformation roadmap
  • Establish standards for AI program management, including model lifecycle governance, validation, change control, and responsible AI principles
  • Track benefits realization, adoption, and ROI to ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business value
  • Support change management, capability building, and adoption of AI-enabled processes across the region
  • Lead and develop regional quality and process excellence resources, operating within a matrixed global organization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Americas leadership on quality risk, process maturity, and transformation priorities
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, IT, Digital, Compliance, HSSEQ, Legal, and Corporate Transformation teams
  • Champion a culture of quality, continuous improvement, standardization, and data-driven decision-making across DP World Americas
