About The Position

The Senior Scrum Master leads cross-functional teams to deliver agile-based project outcomes, ensuring adherence to Scrum methodologies. This role facilitates communication, removes impediments, and serves as a liaison among product owners, managers, and team members. The Senior Scrum Master is responsible for guiding teams through the Scrum process, conducting various Scrum ceremonies, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes Agile principles and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university.
  • Typically a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in IT.
  • Minimum of 6 years of Agile experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master and Agile Coach Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Broad knowledge of Agile approaches including XP and Kanban.
  • Proven experience with Agile tools and techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Agile Games.
  • Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

  • Guide team(s) through Daily Scrum meetings.
  • Create and present executive level presentations to senior leaders.
  • Provide guidance and advice to resolve unique impediments.
  • Conduct conflict management with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for other Scrum teams.
  • Identify problems, impediments, dependencies, and team dysfunctions and facilitate resolution.
  • Establish trust and transparency through collaboration and communication.
  • Lead team building and development, fostering a feedback culture.
  • Partner with other Scrum Masters to enhance Scrum application effectiveness.
  • Drive visibility of progress, roadblocks, risks, and process adherence through dashboards/tools.
  • Engage stakeholders to utilize consistent dashboards for status updates.
  • Mentor team members on Agile software development principles and practices.
  • Motivate and influence the team to create innovative solutions for impediments.
