About The Position

Project Management Office is responsible for facilitating and leading all strategic projects (as defined by the Executive Steering Committee), as well as project management training, support, and implementation of all the executive steering committee designated projects and initiatives throughout Denali. This role will serve as the lead Director of the Denali Project Management Office (PMO) for critical overall business initiatives as approved by the executive steering committee. In this capacity, the position will work closely with the COO, CFO, CSO and EVP of Supply Chain and other Denali leaders to help identify, refine, gain agreed accountability, and develop timelines to drive critical projects across all functions of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Champions project management disciplines and utilizes the processes, structures, and tools for project management success across the entire organization.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and business partners in analyzing current state to develop future state objectives.
  • Administration of issues, risks and the development of escalation plans to ensure project execution.
  • Participate in the prioritization of enterprise initiatives as well as the realization of established goals/objectives. Ensures initiatives align with organizational strategic objectives.
  • Oversees the PMO team and projects from conception through implementation as the leader of the Project Management Office or as an individual Project Manager assisting the business units; helping to identify risks and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensures appropriate stakeholder commitment to the projects and schedules are met.
  • Removes barriers through influence to ensure the success of all projects.
  • Build and manage project plans, project management load charts (PMO workloads). Mark milestones and understand the critical path. Calculates the project dates based on estimates of work and resource allocation.
  • Provides a governance structure for developing project plans, approving projects, and reporting status for all initiatives, to meet agreed upon timeline and budgets.
  • Participates as part of the executive steering committee leadership team to develop and implement projects that align with company strategy.
  • Works cross-functionally with the EVP of Supply Chain to create all project materials and training.
  • Responsible for ongoing communication with project owners regarding updates that effect any and all projects assigned to the Project Management Office.
  • Responsible for gathering and tracking plans, costs, financial results, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Develop the Project Management Offices KPI’s for the Executive Steering Committee.
  • Monitor and develop relations between projects, project managers, owners and team members.
  • Create and lead the Denali PMO organization and develop the structure to support project efforts. Responsible for leading, training and coaching a team of project managers within the PMO.
  • Develop, train, and mentor others in the use of lean methods, approaches, and techniques to imbed lean methodologies within each project.
