About The Position

The Director of Project Management is responsible for leading portfolio-level delivery while shaping and standardizing how project management operates across teams. This role bridges hands-on portfolio ownership with functional leadership, ensuring delivery excellence, financial discipline, and scalable PM practices.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in project management, operations, or related field
  • Proven experience owning portfolios and managing PM leaders
  • Strong operational, financial, and resourcing expertise
  • Ability to set standards, lead through change, and scale delivery models
  • Fluency in Office 365 and enterprise PM systems (e.g., Kantata, NetSuite, Smartsheets, MS Project)

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery health across one or more client portfolios
  • Set and reinforce project management standards and operating models
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution across teams and accounts
  • Lead one or more portfolios of scopes, balancing delivery, resourcing, and financial performance
  • Establish and refine PM tools, templates, processes, and best practices
  • Manage and develop Associate Directors and senior PMs; coach leaders, not just projects
  • Partner closely with Account, Creative, and Strategy leadership to ensure integrated delivery
  • Operate at a strategic level while remaining close enough to execution to manage risk and complexity
  • Drive change management as the business, clients, and scopes evolve
