Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity with demonstrated experience in having led a Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration or a related subject preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at ELT level.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, structure, and optimize organizational processes.
  • Proven people leader with experience managing and coaching PMO Managers and cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving adoption of new ways of working, not just deploying processes; skilled at influencing behaviours and shaping culture toward accountability and delivery discipline.
  • Ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Proven leadership skills to guide the PMO office and project teams through all phases of a large scale implementation project.
  • Ability to assess corporate climate, socio-economic factors, trends, and other criteria to determine chances of project success.
  • Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, internal controls, and forecasting.
  • Ability to write and edit clear and concise reports, meeting minutes, status documents, update documents, prepare statements of work, and presentations.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, management, and mitigation.
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines, reacting to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the PMO Team to drive consistent, best in class project and portfolio management practices across Champion Global organization.
  • Establish PMO as the 'single source of truth' for all CPF Projects, ensuring Governance, standards, and reporting.
  • Partner with the ELT to ensure alignment of projects to Strategic priorities and annual enterprise goals.
  • Oversee enterprise program and portfolio management, ensuring prioritization of resources toward the initiatives that have the highest impact and drive the strategy.
  • Drive adoption of standardized methodologies, templates, and tools to support project delivery excellence.
  • Monitor and report performance of Strategic Initiatives, ensuring delivery against objectives and timelines.
  • Manage accountability and facilitate the Enterprise 5 priority tracker.
  • Provide coaching for PMO Managers to strengthen delivery discipline and tools capabilities.
  • Oversee the work performance of external service providers ensuring the work completed meets company standards and project specifications.
  • Support S&OP+/ Digital/ RTM projects ensuring integration across functions.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership and Management Teams on major projects including capital expenditures, expansion, and growth opportunities.
  • Measure ROI and effectiveness of PMO-led initiatives and adjust based on learnings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
