About The Position

The Director of Project Controls is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk management processes for all major projects within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead and motivate a team of project controls professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in project controls or project management.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and cost management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific project controls standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust project controls framework that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of project controls professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) across all projects.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project schedules, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
  • Establish and monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Implement and utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure project performance and progress.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring they are implemented effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project controls processes and tools.
