Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in project controls including planning & scheduling, cost management, and estimating
  • Global project experience
  • Developed professional network in project control
  • Experience in various software systems including suite of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reference documentation
  • Flexibility to support business travel if required
  • Demonstrate record of delivering services for relevant project size & complexity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Able to work in a cross-functional role within all project and management organizations
  • Proven leadership abilities and ability to manage service providers (CM / AE) for development of estimates
  • Proven team player, willing to consider and accept other views and concepts in reaching critical decisions
  • Strong initiative and leadership qualities
  • High energy, passionate advocate of the Project Controls process
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of Bio-pharmaceutical experience & knowledge
  • Certification in relevant area
  • Experience in major scheduling software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysis

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the project controls team to deliver defined work processes and high-quality results for a regional portfolio of capital projects.
  • Confirm regional portfolio resourcing needs (capabilities and timing) to support the project demand, coordinating with other functions e.g. estimating and planning, as required.
  • Build capability and staff to support current work, future growth, and long-term needs of the business.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of internal resources. Support other business functions and/or sites with recruitment as needed.
  • Ensure implementation of the technical direction and standards within the Project Services Operating Model.
  • Accountable for quality of project controls stage-gate review documentation for internal governance/funding decisions.
  • Take ownership for part(s) of the Project Services Operating Model as a Business Process Owner, accountable for process definition, assurance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Project Controls Leads and provide direct support to the Director of Project Services.
  • Assist with project setup and effective onboarding of new teams/personnel in AZ business processes.
  • Train and educate others in good practices related to project controls.
  • Lead and take responsibility for special projects and initiatives to support the organization, as assigned.
  • Participate in pharma industry or project control forums and conferences. Create and lead efforts for knowledge sharing.
  • Interact with Project Managers and other technical leaders to develop more effective approaches to develop and execute projects.

Benefits

  • The annual base pay for this position ranges from $155,592.00 to $233,388.00 USD.
  • Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
  • Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
