Our team oversees all the scheduling of news, sports & entertainment programs for the Univision, UniMás and Galavision networks, ensuring we continue to secure our position as the #1 Networks serving Hispanics in the country. We maximize ratings across our portfolio of networks and work with our content partners in joint research, production, programming, and innovate on content. This position reports to the VP of Programming Strategy & Scheduling.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the long-term and short-term programming content strategy for the networks.
  • Communicate the schedule with clearly identified promotion priorities and work with respective teams to maximize ratings.
  • Curate all acquisitions and productions to execute the yearly rollout of the network.
  • Act as the main liaison between production companies, daily producers, and internal production teams.
  • Work closely with the Entertainment team in the identification and implementation of global formats on our linear networks.
  • Collaborate with Televisa Mexico to ensure programming synergy by sharing insights and best practices.
  • Provide direction to the Acquisitions team regarding content needs for the networks.
  • Screen content from studios in Mexico and global potential acquisitions to define scheduling placement.
  • Connect with the Sports team daily to ensure alignment with network strategy.
  • Monitor network performance by program, title, and daypart across all demo groups.
  • Articulate the strategy driving acquisitions and scheduling to all company departments and upper management.
  • Communicate strategies driving programming decisions and recommendations to key executive stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with various company departments such as Sales, Media Planning, Marketing, and Promotions.
  • Advise and collaborate with promotions and marketing departments to support program launches and scheduling.
  • Track all content assets and ensure rights and runs are accurately maintained.
  • Coordinate with Media planning, Research, and Ad Sales to ensure formats reflect network needs.
  • Ensure compliance with MVPD and FCC obligations.
  • Work closely with Finance on the annual operating budget.
  • Ensure alignment with network strategy and timely content deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate program guides.
  • Prepare presentations and decks for Marketing, Promotions, and Sales teams.
  • Lead and manage a team of 6 high-performing programming producers and programmers.
  • Lead the Content Acquisitions Sr. Manager in the weekend movie strategy for the network.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of strategic planning and experience in Programming.
  • Substantial experience in direct negotiations, research, content acquisition, operations, and scheduling.
  • PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to relate to multi-layer stakeholders.
  • Detail and process-oriented skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with workflow concepts: lead times, input/output relations.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish, English) is required.
  • Energetic, curious, detail-oriented, and quick-thinking.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects under pressure.
  • Self-starter with excellent judgment and follow-through.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
