The Director, Program Manager (Maritime) at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for leading the Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) Business Program Management team, overseeing approximately 75 personnel. This role involves setting the strategic direction and performance culture of the business, ensuring effective program execution, and achieving key financial objectives. The director will report to the VP/GM of the Undersea Systems Division and will play a crucial role in interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders to drive business success.

  • Briefing leaders across L3 Harris on business performance and strategy.
  • Directing all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Driving program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new or current programs.
  • Assessing market and defining growth strategy for the portfolio.
  • Coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW), specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Developing and conducting gate reviews for new business proposals and program execution milestones.
  • Participating in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
  • Acting as the primary customer contact for business area activities and leading business area review sessions with customers.
  • Supporting program managers responsible for individual program performance including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishing business milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program problems and obtaining solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be capable of obtaining a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Soft skills (e.g., proficient in MS Office, strong communication skills).
  • Advanced business knowledge and highest level of technical mastery in functional area.
  • Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without a formal management role.
  • MS Engineering or MBA Degree.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Experience as Program Manager for DoD/DoN large program (>$25M annual revenue).
