We are seeking a Director, Program Management - Ground and Maritime Programs who will oversee a portfolio of programs supporting the U.S. Navy and foreign partners through Foreign Military Sales (FMS). They will own strategy-to-execution alignment across a growing portfolio, drive disciplined governance, and accelerate profitable growth while delivering strong program performance.

Requirements

  • Experience managing P&L, including bookings, sales, profit and/or cash flow for multiple programs or portfolios.
  • Experience leading program managers and driving execution across cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience supporting programs within the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense (DoD), or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) environments.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships with government customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of programs supporting the U.S. Navy and foreign partners through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) with $115M in sales and positioned for growth with $377M in bookings.
  • Lead a portfolio of programs consisting of at least 8 program managers and a cross-functional organization responsible for day-to-day execution of all aspects of the portfolio.
  • Accountable for Bookings, Sales, Profit and Cash across the program portfolio.
  • Set strategic priorities and align strategy to execution across the portfolio to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
  • Develop growth strategies for the portfolio to expand segment share through proposals and program awards.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities across the portfolio to strengthen operational execution and delivery performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Program Management Team (and functional leaders to align resources and execute shared business objectives.
  • Maintain and improve customer relationships with the U.S. Navy, international partners, and related industry stakeholders.
  • Drive program execution and profitable growth through a rigorous business cadence of program and functional reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior strategy and business development leaders to identify and capture new opportunities that grow segment share.
  • Partner with senior Engineering leaders to transform emerging concepts and customer needs into actionable business cases.
  • Lead cross-functional organizations (Integrated Program Teams/Cross Product Teams) such as contracts, finance, supply chain, operations, and quality to ensure flawless execution.
  • Develop and present portfolio Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments and long-term financial outlook aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Champion development of program management talent and leadership capability within the organization.
  • Own senior customer interfaces across the portfolio and support executive engagement with customers and partners.
