Our products are sold into the homecare, long-term care, retail, and e-commerce channels in more than 100 countries around the world. “Leading the World with Innovative Healthcare Solutions that Enhance Lives” Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): We are seeking a Director of Program Management who will lead product development programs from initial concept definition through full production release. The director will have responsibilities in leading project teams involving members from all disciplines such as industrial design; electrical, mechanical, and software engineering; manufacturing; operations; sales; and marketing. This role requires a proven track record of successful project implementation. The level of responsibility in this position is high as the projects will have impact on customer’s wellness and Drive Medical’s profitability and sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a role as a successful program manager or engineering manager with involvement from initial concept through manufacture--market introduction is ideal. Management of multi-disciplinary teams and development of team members is critical as is experience with driving organizational improvements.
  • Must have collaborative team building skills and be able to resolve conflicts in a productive manner. Decisive behavior combined with the ability to build consensus among team members is required.
  • Demonstrates a consistently positive attitude with the ability to influence and lead others.
  • Must have a proven track record of successful project delivery with project management methodologies.
  • Must have experience and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and expense tracking tools.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Takes initiative and shares knowledge and skills while seeking new ways to coach team members and continue to learn.
  • Ability to think independently, multi-task, and organize efficiently and effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in an Engineering discipline or Business Administration and PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to improving Drive Medical’s and/or its customer’s new product process by implementing, leading, and managing projects across all functions from beginning to successful completion. The projects range in complexity from moderate to high level.
  • Develops program plans to meet profit, revenue, cost, quality, performance, and schedule constraints. Ensures plans and schedules are followed.
  • Documents and manages project schedules and development plans.
  • Identifies, communicates, and mitigates deviations from plan. Develops solutions to program challenges.
  • Coordinates and directs the work of project teams across many disciplines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgets. Fosters collaboration with teams.
  • Communicates program status in written and oral form to Drive Medical’s leadership team and partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Objectively evaluates risks to program objectives.
  • Conducts periodic project phase checkpoint meetings.
