About The Position

The Director of Program Management serves as the Chief of Staff within the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Teradata. This role is pivotal in overseeing strategic operations, resource management, and performance monitoring within the information security department. The Director will collaborate with stakeholders to drive transformative changes, manage strategic projects, and ensure alignment with Teradata's objectives, all while fostering a culture of security awareness and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years in leadership roles within the information security or cybersecurity field.
  • Proven experience in driving organizational change and developing strategic plans.
  • Exceptional skills in communicating complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Recognized certifications in the field such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CISO to develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the information security department.
  • Oversee and lead key departmental projects, ensuring timely completion aligned with Teradata's objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic planning processes within the information security department.
  • Monitor project budgets, resource allocations, and timelines, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain project management frameworks to ensure standardized execution of projects.
  • Develop and implement performance monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of information security initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to the CISO and executive leadership on the status of information security efforts.
  • Establish accountability frameworks to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities within the information security team.
  • Support the professional development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources.
  • Serve as an expert advisor to the CISO on information security risks, trends, and best practices.
