About The Position

L3Harris Corporation's Space Systems sector is seeking a Finance Director in San Diego, CA to support the T&RF Division. This position will be responsible for managing the T&RF financial organization, including the financial performance of the division, the oversight and management of the T&RF rates, compliance, accounting, proposals and audit. This position will report to the VP of Finance for the Space Systems Sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Finance program interface for proposals, billings, cost control and other financial controls.
  • Experience in the managing of finance in the defense and aerospace industry highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Experience in EVMS and/or Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Ability to work with management and other functional areas in a fast-paced multiple project environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Division business leader and Finance subject matter expert and work in close partnership with the Division GM and other functional Leadership.
  • Lead T&RF finance teams in annual and quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of FP&A deliverable to the Space Systems Sector including all Monthly Financial Review (MFR), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Joint Strategic Plan (JSP) requirements.
  • Problem solve and conduct investigations to identify root cause and develop improvements to practices or approaches to mitigate program performance risks.
  • Oversee development and compliance of government rate structure including overhead costs, burden variance reporting and FPRP submissions.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Forecast major aspects of working capital such as cash flow, inventory, accounts receivables, unbilled and deferred revenue to monitor and analyze companies underlying operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations and Programs Leadership to drive forecast commitments.
  • Evaluate proposal cost and pricing data for accuracy, adequacy, reasonableness, consistency with strategic initiatives and legal and contractual commitments.
  • Review month-end closing and work closely with the Controllers organization to ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements.
  • Drive Finance transformation initiatives and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Provide leadership to the divisional Finance team and sustain employee morale through training, mentoring, and team engagement.
