About The Position
Commvault is seeking a multifaceted and experienced Product Strategy Director to join our team. This role is crucial to driving the strategic direction of our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business goals. The Product Strategy Director will conduct industry research, collaborate closely with product management and marketing teams, and lead special projects related to product diligence. In this position, you will develop and implement comprehensive product strategies that align with company goals and objectives. You will identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market segments, and revenue streams while driving product innovation by staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements. Defining product vision and strategy is essential, ensuring a robust and driven product portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch, conducting comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Your responsibilities will also include supervising industry developments and new technologies to advise product strategy, developing and presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on research findings, and working closely with product management to define and refine product roadmaps. You will assist in prioritizing features and initiatives based on market demand and strategic importance, providing strategic feedback on product positioning and differentiation. Partnering with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and messaging will be key, ensuring alignment of product and marketing strategies to improve market impact. Additionally, you will support the creation of marketing materials and campaigns that highlight product strengths and competitive advantages, lead and run special projects focused on product diligence and due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships, and conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of potential product investments and critical initiatives. Presenting findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership will be a significant part of your role.
