About The Position

The Coupang Media Group (CMG) is the advertising platform team within Coupang. We are a globally distributed team focused on delivering advertising solutions for those that sell products on our platform. This includes display, search, performance, brand, and video ads offerings. With the latest advances in AI/ML, we have the opportunity to rethink the traditional ads stack to deliver unique high-quality experiences to our customers that were traditionally outside the realm of possibility. This is a senior individual contributor role focusing on creating new ad experiences and improving existing ad experiences across Coupang's apps and websites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of product management experience developing and launching products in the advertising or recommendations domain.
  • Proven ability to deliver in a complex stakeholder and partner team environment.
  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment with a short iteration cadence.
  • Multiple successful launches of V1 products in a rapid growth environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs.

Nice To Haves

  • e-commerce experience.
  • Master's degree in an analytical or engineering discipline or MBA preferred.
  • Experience working in international environments and globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

  • Product ownership for CMG Ads.
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to re-imagine our ads experience to deliver unique customer experiences while directing day-to-day execution towards the vision.
  • Launch and improve ad products that surface highly relevant results for consumers and better conversion for advertisers.
  • Work closely with business, engineering, internal/external partners, and customers to define project requirements and success criteria.
  • Effectively communicate, collaborate and drive alignment with a variety of stakeholders including senior executives to ensure highly scalable and performance end-to-end experience for advertisers and shoppers.
