About The Position

The Director, Product Leader for Fidelity Institutional (FI) Common Authorization and Identity Services is accountable for defining and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for FI’s common identity and authorization solutions in support of our institutional and intermediary businesses. This role ensures alignment with enterprise objectives while delivering secure, scalable, and innovative products that meet client and stakeholder needs. Acting as the voice of the customer, the Director anticipates and prioritizes requirements, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans that enable seamless authentication and authorization experiences across platforms. This position owns the full product lifecycle, including roadmap development, requirements definition, prioritization, release planning, and performance tracking against key metrics. The Product Leader drives cross-functional collaboration to resolve dependencies, make informed trade-offs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, reporting, removing obstacles, and maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk standards. The role also engages with customers and business partners to gather insights, validate functionality, and communicate updates, ensuring that products deliver measurable business value. As a senior leader, the Product Leader will coach and mentor engineer teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. This includes guiding professional growth, providing feedback, and collaborating with functional leaders on hiring and training initiatives. Success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions aligned with business priorities, manage inter-program dependencies, maintain a multi-year roadmap, and drive cross-functional alignment. The role demands both strategic and tactical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to lead through influence in a complex, matrixed organization. Experience with security, fraud prevention, data platforms, and authorization services is highly desirable. Familiarity with financial domains such as CRM sales enablement, intermediary and international businesses, and securities trading is a plus. A commitment to continuous learning and applying the latest thinking to empower others is essential. Fidelity Institutional delivers investment, trading, and technology solutions to institutional clients, including registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, and institutional investors. Our offerings include proprietary investment products—such as alternative investments and active ETFs—distributed through platforms like FundsNetwork and Wealth Advisor Solutions. We also provide institutional-grade equity and fixed income trading platforms, prime brokerage, and securities lending services, all supported by robust data and analytics.
