About The Position

Position Description: Develops and maintains Runbook and Playbook procedures to manage platform fixes and problem tasks. Plans, designs, acquires, implements, and manages all the elements comprising Information Technology (IT) infrastructure using a multi-phased Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) approach. Prioritizes incident management and production bug fixes. Assesses and determines project prioritization. Participates in strategic planning. Manages large, complex service activities or client relationships by defining customer standards and service level agreements. Provides accountability for the financial management/budgeting process. Primary Responsibilities: Sets visions, goals, and the direction of the team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects. Uses industry and competitor benchmarks to evaluate the overall effectiveness of organizational/technology structure, guiding principles, and operating models. Conducts business case analyses and readiness assessments for technologies. Initiates and manages vendor relationships and establishes requirements for negotiations. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Reviews, analyzes, and formulates project plans for multiple projects or programs. Examines an entire business application from aspects of workflow and end user tasks within entire systems, including estimating and scope definition. Develops and reviews work plans for an application or system. Manages software system installation and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company platform components. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues. Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide initiatives. Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development. Identifies and plans for future resource needs. Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) coordinating highly available production applications and infrastructure across distributed, mainframe, or AWS architectures in an Agile environment, using DataDog, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) coordinating highly available production applications and infrastructure across distributed, mainframe, or AWS architectures in an Agile environment, using DataDog, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) providing 24/7 support for highly available and high risk brokerage applications running on mainframe, distributed, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms in an Agile environment.
  • DE managing client expectations by documenting support processes and workflows using Confluence, and Microsoft Visio; and orchestrating communication between stakeholders to implement prompt resolutions and ensure system stability and resiliency.
  • DE handling large scale infrastructure management, changes, and migrations in adherence with enterprise roadmap, compliance, and regulatory enhancements (with cost savings and improved efficiency) using private cloud (click to compute), Virtual Machines, and Openstack technologies.
  • DE establishing and documenting production support model policies and procedures for large and complex brokerage platforms and organizations using Mainframe and Distributed technologies-- Java, Angular, Node JS, and REST services; and guiding an Agile team by prioritizing projects and providing performance feedback.
