Role Description At AutoAlert, the Director – Product Management owns the CXM software solution, including Product Roadmap, product refinements and functionality, and support. Working cross-functionally across all departments of the organization, you will create and execute the CXM product vision as well as support its value, providing subject matter expertise to team members and key stakeholders and ensuring teams are held accountable to established timelines. The Director – Project Management CXM will be accountable for ensuring the CXM software solution is understood by the development teams and delivered in alignment with the strategy and Roadmap defined in cooperation with the Product Management team. You will also be responsible for customer engagement at all stages of design and development to ensure there is continuous validation and feedback with internal and external stakeholders. You are a team player with strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset. You are part of a creative, diverse, collaborative team of hardworking individuals with the goal of increasing brand favorability, customer engagement and advocacy, and revenue growth. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong leadership, priority management, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or equivalent expence required
  • 5+ years experience in Product Management with minimum of 2 years managing a Product team
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies required including experience of being a Product Manager
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional environments including Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Support, Training, and Engineering teams
  • Track record of successful collaboration with a product development team or organization in an agile environment
  • Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing market opportunity that highlights market and customer value as well as differentiation
  • Experience building and leading teams within a large organization, ideally a software development organization
  • Skilled and comfortable with presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Aptitude for big picture/strategic thinking and ability to translate into execution
  • Capability to make smart, simplifying assumptions when there are complicated details
  • Ability to make objective decisions for product backlog prioritization
  • Skilled at adapting to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, multi-tasking, and managing competing priorities with multiple deadlines
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience in Marketing, communications platforms, and/or automotive industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in defining the CXM product vision, strategy, roadmap, and growth opportunities
  • Own responsibility for customer engagement by understanding the overall customer’s goals and any blockers that come in the way of accomplishing those goals
  • Understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers, and product metrics to determine the right set of features
  • Facilitate and actively participate in customer demos
  • Promote customer surveys for feedback to better understand problems and goals
  • Effectively manage customer feedback and refine the backlog to reflect recent learnings
  • Actively participate in customer visits to understand strengths and weaknesses
  • Drive product requirements definition, product planning, and product design of new features and enhancements
  • Proactively collaborate with the Executive team, Sales, Operations, and the Product team to ensure alignment with the CXM Product Roadmap
  • Prioritize the CXM Roadmap and any new requests or priority changes and communicate to internal team members
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Provide a vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Work cross-functionally to launch or enhance products
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new products, features, bug fixes, etc.
  • Actively mitigate impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint goals
  • Report timelines and development progress to internal and external stakeholders while clearly communicating the product benefits
  • Build expertise in the solutions areas/market spaces our products compete within

  • Supervises direct reports, providing leadership and mentorship
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and effective
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, partnering with Human Resources Business Partners
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policies and in cooperation with Human Resources
