The Director of Strategic Marketing is a member of the senior leadership team member of Nordson MEDICAL Surgical Solutions Division, based in Allen, TX. In this role, you will successfully lead strategy and growth initiatives for the division globally. This includes key business processes such as development of the strategic plan leveraging the Nordson Business System (NBS Next) growth framework to identify and prioritize new business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an effective business strategy with a focus on growth, market and competitor analysis.
  • Ensure effective product lifecycle management, branding, communication and lead generation strategies leveraging Nordson MEDICAL's centralized marcom team.
  • Create a strong Product Innovation roadmap, identifying new applications and markets in strategic growth segments.
  • Optimize go-to-market strategies and plans in collaboration with other senior leaders.
  • Develop a built-out M&A roadmap in conjunction with the Corporate Development team.
  • Support the development of the strategic planning process, including analysis and prioritization of potential initiatives for growth.
  • Drive key business processes such as VOC and key market insights and analysis.
  • Partner with Surgical Solutions Leadership team to assess new business opportunities and develop implementation plans.
  • Define and track key strategic performance metrics and develop root cause counter measures for misses.
  • Conduct customer and competitor analysis, segmentation, targeting and positioning.
  • Optimize pricing strategy and tactics, understanding relevant costs of pricing and product positioning.
  • Support the M&A process, including analysis of possible targets in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Establish credibility, rapport, respect and trust throughout the organization.
  • Manage timelines, budget, and organizational reporting and analysis effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required.
  • MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
  • Leadership experience in strategic marketing, strategic planning and analysis.
  • 8+ years' experience on the commercial side of Medical Device manufacturing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading products through full life cycle preferred.
